No techy loves anything so much as a paper dragon! Do yourself a favor & decide what you like about computers… websites, videos, fixing, networking, designing….. & start looking in that direction on google & in books (free) from your local library. Then find somewhere, anywhere that is willing to take on slave labor for experience in learning what interests you about pc’s. But don’t be too picky about the experience, right now entry level jobs ask for a few yrs experience…. makes me wonder about if the job poster gets the irony. Then, get yourself a degree because no matter what, a degree will help you get a job as much as your experience. It shows that you can pick something & stick to it. Employers are weird about seeing flakiness in potential employees, I guess they see too many “sniffle, sniffle, cough, I can’t make it in because it’s beautiful out” days. & if you decide down the line you prefer some other line of work… you have a degree… in computer misc…. makes you a bit more valuable than the average major in obscure Elizabethan poetry. You can fix the printer!

Later on, if money is still a problem, you may have other options; an employer who’ll pay for your course, sponsorship or scholarship.
